Mrs. Iola McDonald Handlon, age 91, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. She was born on September 21, 1920 in Joliet, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Lola Spurgeon McDonald.

Mrs. Handlon is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas W. Handlon; son, John Thomas Handlon; son-in-law, Daniel Roy Teems Jr.; one sister and two brothers.

Mrs. Handlon is survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Diane Teems, Sharon and Tony Simpson and Barbara and Tony Corn; brother and sister-in-law, Jack McDonald and Lucy; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Handlon will be conducted on Friday, October 14, 2011 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Handlon will receive family and friends on Friday, October 14, 2011 from twelve o'clock (noon) in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Joseph Lombardi, Tom Reilly, Rodney Saucier, Larry Peek, Dan Riley and Louis Teems.
