Mrs. Ima Jean Spann Malone, age 72, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009. She was born in Floyd County, GA on August 22, 1936, the daughter of the late Ima Dell Jones Spann and Earl Robinson Spann.
Mrs. Malone is survived by Husband of 54 years, James A. Malone; Daughter, Beverly Jean Malone of Powder Springs, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, James Michael and Donna Malone; Son, Jeffery Allen Malone of Decatur, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Belinda Kay Malone and Pat Sanzari of Temple, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Bradley Charles and Jeanette Malone of Hiram, GA; Grandchildren, Andrew, Brittney, Michael, Blake, Ashley and Kayla; Great-Grandchildren, Layla, Addison, and Jason; Brother, Earl Robinson Spann of Lindale; and Sister, Nancy Faye Spann Gray of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Mrs. Malone is preceded in death by her parents; Great-Grandson, Brody Michael Malone of Dallas, GA; Brothers, Donald Spann of Boston, Massachusetts, Max Spann of Cedartown, Gary Spann of Barnesville, GA, and Johnny Spann of Cedartown, GA; and Sister, Nettie Louise Spann Weeks of Riverdale, GA.
The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 7th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Chapman, Rev. Andrew Malone, and Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. The interment will follow in Northview Cemetery. Chris Weeks, Greg Weeks, Barry Spann, Gary McCoy, Johnny Spann, and Tom Harris will be serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
