Mr. Horace Dwayne Alred, Jr., age 57 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014. He was born on July 22, 1956 in Dallas, Georgia. He was the son of the late Horace Dwayne Alred, Sr. and Mary Tanner Alred.

Mr. Alred is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Huddleston Alred; daughter, Rebecca Turner; sons and daughter-in-law, Shane Alred and Christopher Alred (Melissa); brothers, Dwight Alred, Billy Alred and Terry Alred and four grandchildren, Austin, Makala, Kensley and Caeden.

Mr. Alred is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Crawford Lynn Alred.

The family of Mr. Alred will be receiving family and friends on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Gammage Funeral Home from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening.

The funeral service for Mr. Alred will be conducted on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Crossroads Baptist Church on May 13, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. Travis Warren and Rev. Howard Locklear officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Alred will lie in state for an hour before the service from one o'clock until the funeral hour.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; John Hill, Jay Kendrick, Jeff Lane, Danny Bishop, Franklin Selman, Greg Bearden, Stanley Shafer and Edgar King.
