Obituary

Mr. Homer Moody, Jr.; age 83, of Silverdale, Washington, formerly of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. He was born on December 23, 1926 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer and Zula Atkins Moody.

Mr. Homer Moody, Jr. proudly served in the US Navy for 22 years as Chief Petty Officer and worked in Civil Service for 18 years as a Guard Chief. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Steadfast #216. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and traveling across the county.

Mr. Homer Moody, Jr. is preceded in death by his wife, Clare; son, Harland D. Moody; brothers, Verdell, Clinton, Charles and Paul Moody and sister, Betty Worthington.

Mr. Homer Moody, Jr. is survived by his companion of seven years, Helen Price of Silverdale, sons and daughters-in-law; Donald and Cassandra Moody, of Clyde, North Carolina and Raymond and Connie Moody, of Port Orchard; brother, Harland Moody (Linda); sisters, Jeanette Morgan, Sarah Moody and Shirley Redding (Jan), all of Cedartown, Georgia. Three grandchildren, Ben Moody (Shari), Nicole Parsons (David) and Sarah Moody; four great-grandchildren, Eathan, Jonathan, Clare and Madeline and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Moody was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family of Mr. Moody will be having an open house to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 1-3pm at 3950 NW Bison Lane, Silverdale, Washington.
