Mr. Hiram Wayne Lee, age 73, of Cedartown passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was born September 1, 1939 in Polk County. He is preceded by parents, Hiram and Omie Hyde Lee, and brother, Russell Lee.

He was a long-time member of Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the U. S. Army Reserve. He received his B.A. from Shorter College, Masters from West Georgia College and Ed.S. from Jacksonville State University. He was a retired educator from Polk School District, a CHS Key Club advisor and active member of the band parents' organization. Wayne was a member of Polk Educators Association and Georgia Association of Educators and served as a delegate to the national convention. He was an employee of Georgia Highlands College and Etowah Valley Credit Union. Wayne was an avid coin collector and HAM radio operator.

Mr. Lee is survived by wife, Linda A. Lee; children and their spouses, Cindi and Mark Hicks, Cherri and Alan Simmons, Michael and Jennifer Lee, and Michelle "Bean" Lee; granddaughters, Allison Hicks and Ruby Lee.

The funeral service for Mr. Wayne Lee will be conducted on Friday, December 28th, at 11:00 a.m. at Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Cadle, Rev. John Giglio, and Rev. Rebecca Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 27th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Rodney Pope, Ben Lovvorn, Josh Crayton, Bill Dickert, Earle Ellis, and David Chang.

Flowers are being accepted; however, the family does prefer memorial contributions to Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church, 15 Booger Hollow Rd., Cedartown, GA 30125.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Hiram Wayne Lee.
