Mrs. Hester Ann Glenn, age 72, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010. She was born in Sevierville, Tennessee to the late Wilfred and Pearl Parton Price.
She was retired from the Polk School District where she worked for many years in the lunchroom at Purks School.
Mrs. Hester Ann Glenn was a member of the Cedar Valley Shrinettes and the American Legion Unit #86 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hester Ann Glenn is preceded in death by her husband, Seals T. "Pete" Glenn, Jr.; parents, Wilfred and Pearl Parton Price; sister, Nancy Gattis and brothers, Danny Price and Dewey Price.
Mrs. Hester Ann Glenn is survived by sons, Alan Glenn and Jon Glenn; mother-in-law, Jettie Geneva Anne Knight Glenn; granddaughter, Gabrielle "Gabby" Glenn; daughter-in-law, Ayn Glenn; sister, Charlotte Lorentz and brother, Harold Price.
In keeping with Mrs. Glenn's wishes, she was cremated. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at Youngs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at two o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.
The family of Mrs. Glenn will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 7-9pm at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home; all other times the family can be contacted at 178 North Cherokee Circle, Cedartown.
The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Auxillary Unit #86, Children's Christmas Fund, 1176 Hutchings Mt.
