Mr. Henry Edward Short, age 74 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was born on March 1, 1940. He was the son of the late John Lawson and Ellen Welchel Short.

Mr. Short is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Gibson Short; sons and daughter-in-law, John Short and Mary, Brad Short and Eddie Short; brother, Lawson Short and grandchildren, Katie Short, Emma Short, Amy Short, Matt Bridges, Kalya Bridges, April Short, and Scott Short.

Mr. Short is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Bridges; sister, Mary Ellen Barbie and brother, Charlie Short.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Short will be conducted on Friday, October 10, 2014 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Short will receive family and friends on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Dennis Alexander, Zack Alexander, Sam Short, Bubba Short, Bill Short, James Short and Matt Bridges. Honorary pallbearers will be Katie Short, Emma Short, Amy Short, Kalya Bridges and April Short.
