Mr. Henry Joe Dempsey, age 59, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011. He was born on February 12, 1952 in Cedartown; he is the son of the late Thomas Fred Dempsey and Mary Ellen Witcher Dempsey Baker.

Mr. Dempsey was a machinist at Jefferson Smurfit for many years.

Mr. Dempsey is survived by a daughter, Amanda Dempsey; and three grandchildren, Landon Jackson, Caitlin Morris and Alandra Dempsey.

Mr. Dempsey is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Lowery Ray Dempsey.

In keeping with Mr. Dempsey's wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at six o'clock in the evening in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Beck officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from five o'clock in the evening until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
