Ms. Helena Skye Carnes, age 43 of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026.  She was born on December 15, 1982 in Rome, Georgia.  Helena was the daughter of the late Teddy Carnes and Wanda Elizabeth Cash Carnes.

Ms. Carnes is survived by her daughter, Emma Grayce Woods; sister, Star Wiggins (Donny); niece, Choyce Wooten; nephew, Chance Brown; uncles and aunts, Randy and Cindy Cash and Jimmy and Tonya Cash; several cousins and mother-in-law, Susan Grimes Hulsey (Cecil).

Funeral arrangements for Ms. Carnes will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Smith and Corey Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Carnes will receive family and friends on Friday, July 3, 2026 from twelve (noon) until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
