Mrs. Helen "Mimi" Terhune, age 97, of Marietta, formerly of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Mimi was born November 1, l9ll in Pitts, Georgia. She lived 65 years in Cedartown. Upon graduating from secretarial college in Rome, Georgia she worked as a legal secretary. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Cedartown.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Terhune, and son, John B. Terhune.
Mimi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a giving heart, loved to laugh, and had an unforgettable smile.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Wilson, and son-in-law, Ken Wilson of Marietta, one grandson, Kenny Wilson of Marietta, two granddaughters, Kimberly Dillard and husband, Chris of Woodstock, Kay Cook and husband, Randy of Kennesaw, three
great-grandchildren, Austin Dillard, Karsten Cook and Kathryn Cook, one niece, Becky Butler of McDonough, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at SouthCare Funeral Home, 595 Franklin Rd. in Marietta from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2009.
A graveside memorial service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedartown.
