Ms. Helen Kirk Morton, age 83, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011. She was born on November 2, 1927 in Taylorsville, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. J. B. and Annie Bell Deems Edwards.

Ms. Morton worked at Arrow Inc. for many years and retired as a supervisor.

Ms. Morton is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lindsey; three grandchildren, Leslie Estes, Anna Wade and Gia Pyles; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Estes Goddard, Charlie Estes, twins, Zack and Emily Estes, Kensley Wade and Karis Wade and one great-great-grandchild; Anslee Ryan Goddard.

Ms. Morton is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. and Annie Bell Deems Edwards; son, Steven Lynn Morton; sister, Barbara Johnson and brothers, Clyde Kirk and Doyle Kirk.

In keeping with Ms. Morton's wishes she was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Gammage Funeral Home.
