Ms. Hazel Lavonia Connell Peace, age 88 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was born on November 10, 1925 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas William Oscar Connell and Edith Gentry Connell.

Ms. Peace is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Michael and Evelyn Peace, Steven and Deborah Peace and Richard and Brenda Peace; grandchildren, Mike and Brandy Peace, Misha Peace Floyd, Stephanie and Bill Hamrick, Bubba and Crystal Peace, Rayanna Peace, Derrick and Amber Timms and John and Steffie Timms and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Ms. Peace is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Memory Ewell "Buddy" Peace, Jr.; son, Joseph Peace; sisters, Ethel Bonds and Lois Finely and brothers, William Connell and James Connell.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Peace will be conducted on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Glaze and Rev. Mark Purser officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Peace will receive family and friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Mike Peace, Jr. Thomas Ingram, Derrick Timms, Sr., Derrick Timms, Jr., John Timms and Bobby Johnson.
