Mrs. Hazel Louise Cantrell, age 83, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010. She was born in Cedartown on April 19, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Ely Tillery and Annie Lee Brock Tillery.
Mrs. Cantrell was a beloved member of Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir for many, many years.
Mrs. Hazel Cantrell is survived by husband of sixty-four years, Mr. Joseph Cantrell, Sr.; son, Joseph Cantrell, Jr; grandson, Christopher Edward Cantrell. She is also survived by sister, Carolyn Ferguson and brother and sister-in-law, James and Janice Tillery.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hazel Cantrell will be conducted on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Ray Merritt, Sammy White, Phil Osborne, Mike Ferguson, Bobby Crumley, and Jimmy Tillery.
