Mr. Harry Van Godfrey, Sr. age 71, of Cedartown passed away Friday, August 31, 2012. He was born June 8, 1941 in Bartow County, GA, the son of the late Meiklhem Harry Godfrey and Emily Cathryne Martin Godfrey.

Mr. Godfrey is survived by daughter, Denise Crozier and husband Geoffrey; son, Harry Van Godfrey, Jr.; four grandchildren, Brandon Shadrick, Megan Shadrick, Jenna Connor, D.J. Connor; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Shadrick, Gavin Shadrick; and a brother, Billy Godfrey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Godfrey.

The funeral service for Mr. Harry Van Godfrey, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday, September 4th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Reginald Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4th, from 12:00 – 2:00 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Geoffrey Crozier, Brandon Shadrick, Tommy Jack Britt, Mickey Corley, Doug Corley, and Billy Hicks.
