Mrs. Gwen Smith Denney, age 90, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Southwest Christian Care. She was born on December 1, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Evenly Lee Smith and Jerome Norris Smith.

Mrs. Denney is survived by her children, Art Denney (Terese), Lee Denney Gammage, Lyn Denney Arnold (Alan) and Clet Denney; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and sister, Gail Smith Chivers.

Mrs. Denney is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Denney and son-in-law, Elliott Gammage.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Denney will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Southwest Christian Church (3836 US 29, Newnan, GA 30265) with Rev. Jimmy Donovan officiating.

The family of Mrs. Denney will receive family and friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the service hour at Southwest Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested donations to be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291.
