Mrs. Judy Gwendolyn Thefield Benefield, age 74, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia on November 28, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Martha Benson Thefield.

Mrs. Benefield was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown.

Mrs. Benefield is survived by her husband, Charles W. Benefield; daughters, Cynthia B. Lindsey (Steve) and Courtney Benefield; sister, Tammie Kinne (Earl); and grandchildren, Morgan Lindsey and Andrew Lindsey.

Mrs. Benefield is preceded in death by her parents and son, Gregory Todd Benefield.

In keeping with Mrs. Benefield's wishes she was cremated. A memorial service for Mrs. Judy Gwendolyn Thefield Benefield will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Dr. Chris Moses officiating.  A private graveside burial will be held  at a later date.

The family of Mrs. Benefield will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the memorial service hour at First Baptist Church.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers are to be omitted and memorial donations to be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125.
