Mrs. Grace B. Ray of Piedmont, AL passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Funeral services for Grace B. Ray, 87, will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. (CST) at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont with the Rev. David Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. (CST) at Thompson Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Survivors include three children, Phil Ray (Lynda) of Rome, GA, Ivan Ray (Pattie) of Cedartown, GA and Tanya Barnes (Tim) of Anniston; four grandchildren, Michael Ray (Amanda), Laura Ray, Meredith Kinard (Scott) and Jonathan Ray; four great-grandchildren, Michael Ray, Anderson Kinard, Matthew Ray and Cooper Kinard; four sisters, Myrtice Rainey (Ray) of Piedmont, Ann Burgess (james) of Anniston, Elaine Ingram (David) and Alline Rochester all of Spring Garden; and special friend, Mildred Gresham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Ray.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Ingram, Danny Stone, Jerry Pike, Bob Farmer, Ken Thomas and Johnny Hubbard.

Mrs. Ray was a native and resident of Piedmont most of her life. She retired from SCT Yarn with 35 years service, was a member of Dailey Street Baptist Church, loved Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball and the Andy Griffith show.
