Obituary

Mrs. Gloria S. McKibben, age 90, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1935 in Cedartown, Georgia.  She was the daughter to the late Tom Stephens Sr. and Florence Barkwell Stephens.

Mrs. McKibben was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and especially loved being part of Southside Youth Quartet with Billy Redden, Verla Thornton and Evelyn West.

Mrs. McKibben is survived by her daughters, Sharon Ritch (Larry) and Wendy Armstrong; grandchildren, Faith Ritch (Michael), Christy Tanner (Ritchie), Bryan Armstrong, April Formby (Craig) and Corey Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Aislinn Carter (Tanner), Aaron Carter (Lauren), Taylor Formby, Sydney Tanner, Gage Armstrong (Sarah), Aubrey Cobb (Jeremiah), Cooper Armstrong, Trystin Armstrong, Ally Armstrong, Samuel Formby and Caleb Formby; great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Tanner, Presley McCutchen, Charli Ann McCutchen and Camden Carter. Several other extended family members also survive.

Mrs. McKibben is preceded in death by her parents;loving husband of 50 plus years, Ollie Lamar McKibben Jr.; brother, Tom Stephens Jr.; and great-grandson Christopher "Chris" Wayne Tanner; and Southside Youth Quartet members, Billy Redden, Verla Thornton and Evelyn West.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria S. McKibben will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.  Interment will follow in the McKibben family lot of Northview Cemetery in Cedartown with Rev. Randy Stephens officiating.

The family of Mrs. McKibben will receive family and friends on Friday, January 30, 2026 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the service hour at the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bryan Armstrong, Corey Armstrong, Gage Armstrong, Cooper Armstrong, Trystin Armstrong, Aaron Carter, Samuel Formby and Caleb Formby.
