Mrs. Glenda Jane Davis Hackney, age 68, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was born on December 20, 1942 in Cedartown; she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Linnie Gaylor Davis.

Mrs. Hackney worked for many years as a secretary of the Polk County School System.

Mrs. Hackney is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hackney; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Martin West and grandchildren, Josh Kirkpatrick, Betenia Faith West, Simon West and Oliver West.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Hackney will be conducted on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Hackney will receive family and friends on Friday, July 8, 2011 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Charles Raburn, Guy Rutland, Olin Hackney, Jimmy McLendon, Kelly McLendon, Ron Ray, Jim Mayben and Rodney Saucier.
