Mrs. Gladys Dempsey, age 97 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014.  She was born on July 19, 1916.

Mrs. Dempsey is survived by her nieces, Lisa McKibben and Linda Bird; and several great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dempsey is preceded in death by her husband, Grady Dempsey; sister, Odessa Carter; and brothers, J.H. Lockridge and Cleo "Buck" Lockridge.

The graveside service for Mrs. Gladys Dempsey will be conducted on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at two thirty in the afternoon in the Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating.

The family of Mrs. Dempsey will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 14, 2014 from one thirty in the afternoon until two thirty in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The Nursing Staff of Cedar Valley Nursing Rehabilitation will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In omission of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Mountain Home Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
