Mrs. Gertrude Huddleston Phillips age 91 of Rome, GA and longtime resident of Lebanon died December 1, 2013. A native of Wilson County, she was a homemaker and a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jim and Cora Hall Huddleston; husband, Paul Ripley Phillips; two sisters: Ada Dunaway, Corene McCulloch; four brothers: Benton, Glen, J.C. and Howell Huddleston.
Survived by daughter, Becky (Steve) Holland; three grandchildren: Stephanie (Jasen) Spoon, Bryan (Cecily) Holland, Christy (Greg) Christian; five great-great grandchildren: Jayden, Ava, Alex and Peyton Christian, Kaitlyn Spoon; sister, May (Gene) Hendrix.
Funeral services are Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, with Bro. Barry Keene officiating. Interment – Fairview Cemetery at Norene.
Active Pallbearers: Bryan Holland, Jasen Spoon, Greg Christian, Terry McCulloch, Ernie and Mike Huddleston. Honorary Pallbearers: Keith Hunt, Troy Booker, Landon, David and Dan Dunaway.
Visitation Tuesday 3-8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
