Obituary

Mrs. Gertrude Gilmore, age 80, of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005. She was born on December 21, 1924 in Cherokee County Alabama to the late Harvey and Cliffie Wooten.

Mrs. Gilmore is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gilmore, three brothers, Hershel John Wooten, Curtis Wooten, Thurman Wooten and Thurl Wooten.

Surviving are daughter, Angela S. Gilmore; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce A. and Larry Shepherd; two sisters, Dell Roberson and Elizabeth Oliver; an aunt, Clara Adams. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren, Melissa A. Williams, Jason N. Ingle, Stacey L. Brantley and Jessica M. Lanham; and 7 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 10th from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Gammage Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Gilmore will be conducted on Sunday, September, 11th at 2:00PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Rome with Rev. Johnny Carroll and Rev. Brian Prance officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Jason Ingle, Richard Lee Williams, David Brown, Cecil Oliver, Charles Roberson and Jeff Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are Dewayne Roberson, Mike Roberson, Ricky Wooten and Charles Hampton.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Gertrude Gilmore.
