Mrs. Gerda Gayring Pierce, age 77 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017. She was born on November 27, 1939 in Ulm, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Georg Gayring and Elisa Schmidt Gayring.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughters, Sandra Parris and Sissy Steele; son, Ronny Pierce; sisters, Erika Schwartz and Ruth Grillo; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Lawrence Pierce.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Gerda Gayring Pierce will be conducted on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dabbs and Mr. Ronny Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Pierce will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Scotty Tillery, Matt Johnson, Jerry Parris, W.C. Parris, Billy Steele, Russell Tillery and Ricky Peck.
