Mrs. Geraldine "Dean" Smith Arencibia, age 65 of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011. She was born on February 12, 1946 in Rome, Georgia. She was the daughter of Mrs. Eloise Lewis Smith and the late Mr. Charles Smith.
Mrs. Arencibia was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church and was a very caring and wonderful person. She was very tender hearted and loved everyone that she came in contact with. She had a contagious spirit and was loved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Arencibia is survived by her husband, Mr. Freddy Arencibia, Sr.; mother, Elosie Lewis Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Elisa Prewett and husband Randy Prewett; son and daughter-in-law, Freddy Arencibia, Jr. and wife Janette Arencibia; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene Kuhlman and husband Eddie Kuhlman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Smith; Ralph Smith and wife Cheryl Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nelson and wife Bonnie Arencibia and Jose T. and wife Carmen Arencibia and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Arencibia is preceded in death by her father, Charles Smith; sister-in-law Ann Smith and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jose and Claurinda Arencibia.
Funeral mass for Mrs. Arencibia will be conducted on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at seven o'clock in the evening at the First Baptist Church of Cedartown with Monsignor Pat Bishop officiating.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Arencibia will receive family and friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from four o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church of Cedartown.
Flowers are being accepted; however, donations can be made to Saint Bernadette Catholic Church Building Fund, 101 South College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Freddy Arencibia, Sr., Freddy Arencibia, Jr., Ralph Smith, Jr., Randy Prewett, Andrew Arencibia and Tyler Prewett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elizabeth Arencibia, Aspen Arencibia, Autumn Arencibia and Emily Prewett.
