Mrs. Geraldine "Geri" Perdue Farmer, age 72, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 She was born April 10, 1935 to parents, the late Eddie Washington Perdue and the late Dovie Lee Via Perdue.

Mrs. Farmer was a member of First Baptist Church, a member of The Martha Sunday School Class. She was Queen Mother of the Charming Red Hatters and a board member of the Rome Women's Bowling Association.

Family members surviving are husband, Thomas F. Farmer; daughter, Debra Ann Farmer; sisters, Opal Daniel and Marie Grogan; brothers, Vinson Perdue and Javon Perdue and twin brother, Haroldine Perdue. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George Daniel Perdue and Calvin Coolidge Perdue.

The funeral service for Mrs. Geraldine Farmer will be conducted on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Baptist Church in Cedartown with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The body will lie in state at First Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Martha Sunday School Class, the Charming Red Hatters, and Rome Women's Bowling Association.

Mrs. Farmer will then be taken to her hometown of Mayodan, North Carolina.

A funeral service in Mayodan will be conducted on Sunday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Ray Funeral Home, Madison, N.C. Visitation will follow the service. The interment service will be held at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery on Monday, February 11, at 10:00 a.m.
