Mr. Gerald Defforest Ellenburg, age 51, of Lindale, formerly of Cedartown passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Mr. Ellenburg was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindale. He was born on December 17, 1955 in Polk County.

Mr. Ellenburg is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Edwin Gerald Ellenburg & Mrs. Rachel Jolly Ellenburg; and sister, Desiree Ellenburg McGee.

Mr. Gerald Defforest Ellenburg is survived by wife, Michele Jackson Ellenburg; daughters, Ashlea Ellenburg, and Melissa Ellenburg; son, Clint Ellenburg; stepson, Zackery Jackson; sister, Lynn Ellenburg; and brother, Eric Ellenburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Ellenburg will be conducted on Monday, August 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Burnham officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jeffrey Jackson, Randy Barry, Ken Nixon, Greg Barber, John Brewster, Hank Peace, Lee Sanders, and Tim Holcomb.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmie Lee Jennings, Guy Wardlaw, Mike Cox, and Shane Jolly.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Gerald Defforest Ellenburg.
