Mr. George Edward Slaughter, age 69, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009. He was born January 29, 1940 in Polk County, Georgia.

Mr. Slaughter was a dedicated member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Fredrick Slaughter and Alice Young Slaughter.

Mr. Slaughter is survived by wife, Carolyn Lee Robinson Slaughter; daughter and son-in-law, Pam & Joe Weeks; sons and daughter-in-law, Byron & Vickie Slaughter and Jason & Ginger Slaughter; grandchildren, B.J. Slaughter, Tyler Slaughter, Janson Slaughter, Jaydon Slaughter, and J.R. Weeks. Also surviving are numerous Nieces and Nephews.

The funeral for Mr. George Slaughter will be conducted on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Rolling Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Moses Wilson and Rev. Teddy Harris officiating. Jason Slaughter will share the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday September 21, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are B. J. Slaughter, Tyler Slaughter, Chuck Dawson, Levi Dawson, Joe Weeks, and Coby Dawson.

Honorary pallbearers are Janson Slaughter, Jaydon Slaughter, J.R. Weeks, Buddy Winslett, John Ashley, and Jackie Slaughter.

The Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. George Edward Slaughter.
