Mr. George Allen Bowman, age 52, of Cedartown passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007. He was born January 31, 1955 in Polk County the son of D. C. Bowman and Jean Mize Bowman.

Mr. Bowman was an U. S. Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jeanette Bowman.

Mr. George Allen Bowman is survived by his wife, Tammy Shiflett Bowman; son, Bryce Bowman; daughters, Dr. April Shiflett and Amanda Allen; sister, Marie Bowman Ploof; and grandson, Eli Allen.

The Memorial Service for Mr. George Allen Bowman will be conducted on Thursday, July 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Delton Harne officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, from 6:00 p.m. until the memorial service hour.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144 or to a charity of your choice.
