Mr. Gene Short, age 50, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. He was born on January 21, 1967 in Polk County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Roy Eugene and Betty Ann Davis Short.

Mr. Short is survived by his wife, Angie Short; daughters Amanda Short (Jarrod), Allyson Deaton (Tyler), and Kelly Marchbanks (Hunter); his son, Wes Hurley (Brooke); his brother, Willie Short; and his grandchildren Landon, Hunter, Steven, Lydia, and Easton.

Mr. Short is preceded in death by his parents; father, Roy Eugene Short and mother, Betty Ann Davis Short.

The funeral arrangement for Mr. Charles Eugene Short will be conducted on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Pastor Wormy Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Short will receive family and friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Marty Short, Richard Corn, Scott Wheeler, Brian Wheeler, Neil Short, and Wesley Williams.
