Mr. Gary Henning Ivester, age 53, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of Rome, passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 27, 2009. He was born February 20, 1956.
Mr. Ivester was a member of John's Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta. He was a graduate of Shorter College and was presently an employee of Dade Paper Company.
He is preceded in death by father, J. D. Ivester, and brother, Phillip Ivester.
Mr. Gary Ivester is survived by wife, Karen Brown Ivester; daughter, Katie Ivester; and son, Matthew Ivester; mother, Lila Ivester of Rome; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dana and Billy White of Rockmart, Jane and Larry Cooper of Katy, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, John and Nancy Ivester. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Other surviving family members include father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Bonnie Brown and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patti and Mike Stansell all of Cedartown.
The funeral for Mr. Gary Henning Ivester will be conducted on Friday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swafford and Rev. Horace Stewart officiating. Interment to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Cedartown.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 29th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
