Frank Jackson, age 81, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born on July 27, 1932 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Marvin and Rochelle Jackson.
Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force where he retired as a Staff Sargent of over 20 years.
Frank is survived by his sons; Marvin "Butch" Jackson (Lynn) and Waylon Jackson; sister, Leomia Wallace; brothers, D.A. Jackson and M.L. Jackson; 2 granddaughters, Joni Lynn Jackson and Amy Jackson Copeland; and a great granddaughter,Taylor Watkins.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Opal Jackson; son, Richard Lynn Jackson; granddaughters, Amber Elizabeth Jackson and Lacey Denise Watkins; sister, Stella Kelley; and twin brother, Fain Jackson.
The graveside service for Frank Jackson will be conducted on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Northview Cemetery with Randy Vines officiating and with full military rites. Interment will be at Northview Cemetery.
The family of Frank Jackson will receive family and friends on Monday, August 12, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home. Flowers and/or donations to the American Cancer Society will be accepted.
