Obituary

Mrs. Frances Moore, age 84, passed away on July 9, 2010 in her home at 10 Creekside Lane, Rockmart, Georgia. She was born on March 19, 1926 in Rome, Georgia to the late George Wesley and Georgia Ann Strickland.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hamby Mason Moore, whom she married on May 22, 1948. They owned and managed The Quick and Easy Convenience Store for many years in Cedartown.

Mrs. Moore went to work for Wal-Mart in Cedartown in 1983 and worked there in various positions for 26 years, but most will remember her as the Wal-Mart greeter.

She was a very active member of the Cedartown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mrs. Moore is also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Strickland; and brother, Charles Strickland.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters; Faye Cashwell and Carol Austin; grand-daughters, Jennifer Forrister- Ross and Jamie Forrister; great-grandson, Payton Bell; brothers; Claude and Ralph Strickland; sisters; Jennie Mae Shiflett and Doris Steverson; sons- in- law, Steve Cashwell and Gary Austin; grandson- in-law; Jack Ross; and sister-in-law, Becky Strickland, and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her personal wishes, Mrs. Moore will be cremated. The Memorial service for Mrs. Frances Moore will be conducted on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Mr. Roger Hildebrand officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30pm at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
