Frances Gann Edwards, age 92 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014. She was born on August 14, 1921 in Cherokee County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Monroe Gann and Mattie Witcher Gann.

She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church of Rome, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cecil Edwards; sisters, Mildred Gann, Dorothy Mae Rainey; brother, Thurmon Gann; and brother-in-law, Marland Rainey.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her nieces, Dottie Wood (Jerry), Janet Cuzzourt (Clifton), other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service for Mrs. Edwards will be conducted on Monday, May 5, 2014 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Oaknoll Cemetery in Rome, Georgia with Rev. Chris Hearne officiating.

The family of Mrs. Edwards will receive family and friends on Monday, May 5, 2014 from one o'clock until two o'clock at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Kevin Cuzzourt, Jerry Wood, Mike Cuzzourt, Jeff Yawn, and Don Robinson will serve as Pallbearers. Clifton Cuzzourt and Jeremy Cuzzourt will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Frances Gann Edwards.
