Mrs. Florine Shiflett Hooper, age 88 of Cedartown passed away on October 31, 2006. She was born on August 31, 1918 in Polk County, Georgia.

She was a member of Wimberly Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hooper is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Newton Hooper; parents, Robert M. Shiflett and Ada Bridges Shiflett; sisters, Louise Benefield and Faye Hackney; brothers, Robert Shiflett, Hall Shiflett and Homer Shiflett.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Norene Hooper Crocker and Bud Crocker, Vevly Hooper Hilburn and Eddie Hilburn and Patsy Hooper Atkins and Dennis Atkins; sister, Catherine Brazier and brothers, Harold Shiflett and Wallace Shiflett. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 3rd at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Matt Hulsey, Joe Hulsey, Cooter Wright, Jeff Atkins, Rustin Hilburn, Jimmy Crocker, Wayne Atkins and Kaz Barkley.
