Obituary

Mrs. Flonnie Mae Day Cooper, age 89, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011. She was born on January 11, 1922 in Haralson, County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Lou Annie Norris Day.

Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Walker Cooper; children, M. William (Dood) Cooper and Gary Galloway; daughter-in-law, Frances Galloway and brothers and sisters, Lena Dawson, IV Walker, Alma Harris, Estoria Adams, Malene Peace, Chaudron Tanner, Bessie Ward, Rufus Day, Lovie Day, Laura Day and Freddie Day.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Iris Petersmarck and husband Harry; son, Larry Galloway; daughter-in-law, Sandra Galloway; grandchildren, Jim Lewis, Susan Walker, Jeri Lea Arnold and Daniel Runyon; great-grandchildren, Ethan Runyon, Trenton Walker, Matthew Walker, Russ Arnold, Allie Arnold, Tanner Arnold, Sam Arnold, Jennifer Deaton, Chelsea Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Mathew Lewis and Branson Lewis and great-great- grandchildren, Hannah Deaton and Nicholas Deaton.

The funeral service for Mrs. Cooper will be conducted at Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church where Mrs. Cooper was a member since 1948; on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. Rebecca Holmes and Mrs. Minnie Lloyd will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Cooper will receive family and friends on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church.

The family has requested that flowers please be omitted and memorial donations please be made to the Anna Kresge Memorial Fund, 15 Booger Hollow Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Daniel Runyon, Trent Walker, Joey Arnold, Barry Dawson, Johnny Carter, Russ Arnold and Matthew Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Flonnie Mae Day Cooper.
