Mrs. Fannie Ella Roland Wood, age 97, of Cedartown passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. She was born May 29, 1911.

She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Doyal Wood, Sr., son, Robert Doyal Wood, Jr., grandson, Dennis Ralph Osborne and parents, Tom Roland and Netty Reedy Roland.

Mrs. Fannie Wood is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Hattie "B" and Ernest Dunton, Myrtle and David Ferguson, and Maureen and Seals Tanner. Five grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 3, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. James O. Wallace and minister, James Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, from
7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Carson Tanner, Allen Cliff, Hayden Privett, Avery Privett, David Ferguson, and Shane Privett. Honorary Escorts are Seals Tanner and Tanner Cliff.
