Ms. Evelyn Davidson Ward, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. She was born on March 3, 1935 in Celburn County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Warner and Flora Maebelle Pruitt Davidson.


She enjoyed participating in the Mixed Adults Sunday School Class, the Adult Choir, the Carrie Barrett W.M.U. circle, and the Seniors Son Shine Club.

Ms. Ward is survived by her daughter and Son-in-law, Sherrie Ward Campbell and Scott; son, Keith Ward; brothers, Ardell Davidson and Owen Davidson; brother-in-law, Don McElwee; two grandchildren, Amber Ward and Dylan Ward and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Ward is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Edward Ward; daughter-in-law, Donna Monroe Ward; brothers, Larry Davidson and John W. Davidson and sister, Marie McElwee.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Ward will be conducted on Monday, March 19, 2012 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Smith, Rev. James Guy and Rev. Chris Hearn officiating.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Ward will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from five o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Tony Davidson, Scott Davidson and Dylan Ward.

Honorary pallbearers will be Southside Baptist Church Adult Choir.
