Mrs. Eula Whitfield Puckett, age 77, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. She was born April 19, 1931 in Polk County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Odes Whitfield and Iris Whatley Whitfield. She resided in Cedartown the majority of her life before moving to Rome.

Family survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Beth P. and Gary B. Hackney, Joy and Jack Freddie Witcher; son and daughter-in-law, Gary R. and Adonna Puckett; brother, Floyd Whitfield of Sumter, S.C.; Eight Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Puckett, and parents, Odes and Iris Whitfield.

The funeral service for Mrs. Eula Whitfield Puckett will be conducted on Friday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. DeWayne New and Rev. Mark Cosby officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Jack Freddie Witcher, Gary Hackney, Austin Witcher, Rick Wright, Cory Puckett, and Kyle Puckett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted, however, memorial donations may be made to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at 855 Abutment Road, Suite 6, Dalton, GA 30721. Pre-addressed envelopes are available at the Gammage Funeral Home for your convenience.
