Ms. Ellie Smith Canter, age 77 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  She was born on September 22, 1946 in Cherokee, Alabama.  She was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Geneva Arrington Smith.

Ms. Canter is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Langley Canter; grandchildren, Josh Erwin and Cailey Allmon; and great-grandchildren, Paisleigh Erwin, Emberleigh Erwin, and Addi Mae Lester.

Ms. Canter is deceased in death by her parents and son, Chris Canter.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Canter will be cremated.  A private memorial service will be held.
