Ms. Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Pratchard Spann, age 90 of Rome, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born on April 16, 1926 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Bryan and Irma Lee Ash Pratchard.

Ms. Spann taught for many years at Third Street Elementary School.

Ms. Spann is survived by her daughter, Angela Spann; son, Charles Bryan Spann and grandson, Elijah Gingras.

Ms. Spann is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Walker Spann; sister, Helen P. Harper and brother, Robert Bryan Pratchard.

In keeping with Ms. Spann's wishes' she was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
