Ms. Eleanor J. Dowdy York, age 86 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.  She was born on January 27, 1940 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late John Fred and Mary Pearl Thomason Dowdy.

Ms. York is survived by her daughter, Deborah York; sons, Keith York and Jeff York and three grandchildren.

Ms. York is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Dowdy and grandson, Matthew York.

A graveside service for Ms. York will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the family lot of Northview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

The family of Ms. York will receive family and friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from ten o'clock in the morning until the graveside hour at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
