Mr. Elbert H. Packer Jr., age 86 of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born on May 20, 1931 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of the late Elbert H. and Ruth L. Packer Sr.

Mr. Packer is preceded by his wife, Marie B. Packer; his parents; and one sister.

Mr. Packer is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Lunsford (Kevin) and Catherine Couch (Raymond); son and daughter-in-law, Harold Packer (Theresa); 4 sisters, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Elbert H. Packer Jr. will be conducted on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at three o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Military rights will be conducted by Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post 86.

The family of Mr. Packer will receive family and friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Daniel Lunsford, Michael Packer, John Packer, Eron Smart, Raymond Couch, and Kevin Lunsford.
