Ms. Effie Gail Worthy Johnson, age 75 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.  She was born on September 18, 1948 in Cedartown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Minnie Allen Worthy.

Ms. Johnson is survived by her sons, Daniel Johnson (Terri), Joey Johnson (Angela), and Richard Johnson (Nikki); sister, Mary Johnson (Grady); grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Joshua Johnson and Eric Johnson; several great-grandchildren and friend and caregiver, Debbie McClain.

Ms. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Faye Brown and Sue Ivey and brothers, Buddy Worthy, Arthur Worthy, and Roy Worthy.

In keeping with Ms. Johnson's wishes, she was cremated.  The family of Ms. Johnson will have a celebration of life service on Monday, May 13, 2024 at six o'clock in the evening in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Redding officiating.
