Mrs. Edna "Nanny" Cothran, age 88, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025.  She was born on February 22, 1937 in Anniston, Alabama.  She was the daughter of the late Lumus C. and Nellie B. Cotton Anderson.

Mrs. Cothran is survived by her daughter, Pam Burns (Butch); sons, Johnny Cothran (Andrea), Jeff Cothran (Lisa) and Mark Cothran (Tonya); sister, Shirley Agan (Kenneth); brother, Lewis Anderson (Jean Ann); 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members also survive.

Mrs. Cothran is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 60 years John Paul Cothran; daughter-in-law, Wendy Cothran; sisters, Mary Hill, Myrtle Sellers, Doris Bardfield and Annie Mae Dickerhoof; brothers, Clinton Anderson and Harvey Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Cothran and Abigail Grace.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Edna Anderson Cothran will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Connor Hooper and Rev. Joey Davidson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Cothran will receive family and friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 11 o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Little Cody Cothran, Cody Cothran, Mark Cothran, Casey Cothran, Jordan Cothran and Ronnie Cothran. Pike Edwards will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
