Obituary

Ms. Edith Whitfield Willingham, age 86, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. She was born on September 24, 1928 in Webster Chapel Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Rube and Ruby Lee Morris Glenn.

Ms. Willingham was a lifelong and devoted member of the Cedartown First Baptist Church and the Cedar Valley Shrinettes.

Ms. Willingham is survived by her; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Renee Whitfield; son, Glenn Whitfield; and grandson Brian Whitfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Willingham is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, J.P Whitfield and Hubert Brooks Willingham; step-daughter Pat Williamon; sister Ruth Mintz and brother, Buddy Glenn.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Willingham will be conducted on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.

The Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Willingham will receive family and friends on Monday November 24, 2014 from six to eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd, 420 E. Second Ave, Suite 105, Rome, Georgia, 30161 or the Cedar Valley Shrine, Children's Hospital Fund, P.O. Box 183, Cedartown, Georgia, 30125.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Larry Morris, Jr. Maxwell, Brian Whitfield, Mitch Williamon, Benny Williamon and Ray Offenbacker. Honorary pallbearers will be the local Shrinettes.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Ms. Edith Whitfield Willingham.
