Ms. Edith Mayton McLarty, age 91, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was born on June 12, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charley Edward Mayton and Annie Rivers Mayton.

She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and also attended the First Presbyterian Church.

Ms. McLarty is survived by her daughter, Louise Cooper; son and daughter-in-law, David and Joyce McLarty; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Joanna Mayton; grandsons, Christopher McLarty and Andrew McLarty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. McLarty is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Howard Spencer McLarty.

The funeral service for Ms. Edith McLarty will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Grove and Rev. Keith Guyton officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery with Rev. DeWayne New officiating.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, November 16, 2015 from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
