Mrs. Edith Hulsey Davis, age 85, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009. She was born November 10, 1924 in Cedartown.

She is preceded in death by husband, John Wesley Davis, Jr.; daughters, Mary Patricia Matlock and Linda Davis Ploof; sons, John Wesley Davis III and Larry James Davis; father, Ben Hulsey; mother, Stella McElwee Jarrell; sisters, Delia Jameson, Doris Harding; brother, Ernest Hulsey.

Mrs. Davis is survived by daughters, Barbara Creel, Phyllis Couch, Randy Tyler and husband Tony, Donna Mitchell and husband Dr. Rodney Mitchell; son, Eric Davis and wife Kelly; half-sister, Shelia Hulsey Carter; half-brother, Michael Hulsey and Douglas Hulsey. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Edith Hulsey Davis will be conducted on Thursday, November 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. James Guy, Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 18th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Wayne Couch, Jeremy Tracy, Adam Tracy, Sean Couch, John Logan Davis, Rev. Bobby Jones, James Mitchell, and Brian R. Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Shade Couch and Bill Hayth.

Flowers will be accepted; however, memorial contribution may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 409 Cobb St., Cedartown, GA 30125.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Edith Hulsey Davis.
