Mr. Louis Edward Bowen, Sr. age 85, of Cedartown passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007. He was born on July 15, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Mr. Bowen was a member of the Methodist Church.

He worked in industrial construction most all of his life and started his own business in 1980 servicing container manufacturing plants. Mr. Bowen's hobbies were woodworking and maintaining his yard. He also enjoyed gardening and had a large vegetable garden every year until recently.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lucius Bowen and Willie Mae Robinson Bowen and sisters, Helen Owens and Gladys Kredo.

Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Wiley Bowen; daughter, Donna Robinson of Cartersville and sons, Stacy Bowen of Cleveland, Tennessee and Eddie Bowen of Marietta. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 8th at 4:30p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Robert M. Hoffmann officiating. A private interment service will follow at a later time.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8th from 2:30p.m. until 4:30p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
