Mr. Earl "Muscles" Cantrell, age 85, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was born in Polk County, Georgia on November 8, 1926 to the late Mr. Emory Cantrell and Mrs. Pauline Ray Cantrell. He was of the Baptist faith and a World War II veteran having proudly served in the United States Army. Earl worked many years at Lockheed and later co-owned and operated Cantrell's Cafeteria and "The Bus Station" in Cedartown.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Williams; a niece, Joyce Bedford; sisters-in-law, Dot Cantrell and Hazel Cantrell.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by his twin sister, Estelle Clinton; two brothers, Clinton Cantrell and Joe Cantrell; eight nieces & nephews; Joey Cantrell, Stan Williams, Barry Clinton, Darlene Smoak, Janice White, Sandy New, Tina Carter, and Vicki Beasley. A number of great nieces and great nephews also survive.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Earl Cantrell will be conducted on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 from 2:00 till 3:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Barry Clinton, Barry Carter, Stan Williams, Chad Youngblood, Chris New, Sammy White, and Bruce Hackney will serve as Pallbearers.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Earl "Muscles" Cantrell.
