Mr. Doyal E. Ward, age 76, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008. He was born November 3, 1931 in Polk County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ward.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Family survivors include wife, Ann Ward; sons, Scott Ward and Richy Ward; daughters, Tara Murphy and Carmen Ward; sisters, June Ward Brannon, Nellie Ward Smith, Wanda Ward Brannon; brothers, Robert Ward and Donald Ward. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Ward is preceded in death by a son Mark Leland Ward Sr.; Mark Leland Ward, Jr.; parents, Charles Ward and Lily Allen Ward; sisters, Louise Ward Coleman; brothers, Joe Ward and Charles T. Ward of Cedartown and Bill Ward of Silver Creek

The memorial service for Mr. Doyal Ward will be conducted on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lavonne Ward officiating and Mr. Scott Ward and Mr. Richy Ward speaking.

The interment service at Polk Memory Gardens will be announced at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Doyal E. Ward.
